When it comes to creating departments, one sometimes makes one wonder, "What were they thinking?". ICE is fine. Immigration and customs kinda go hand in hand. If you're going to immigrate here, you're probably going bring stuff with you, right? But what's with the Food and Drug Administration? Drugs are NOT food, and food is not drugs. Granted, both can be abused, but tell me what food has to do with drugs with the POSSIBLE exception of Fritos and Goldfish crackers! And then there's Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. I reckon the government was scared to death that someone might get drunk, walk into a store with a shotgun and steal a pack of cigarettes. I know that's been done before, but why would you think that a wine snob would want to investigate someone who wanted a Federal Firearms License? I could go on, but why spoil your fun? I'm sure you can find more examples if you want to think for a couple minutes.
